A talk defining compassion, and discussing some of its benefits and some aspects of its cultivation.

 

About the speaker: Ayya Adhimutti was born in Aotearoa/ New Zealand, and entered monastic life in Thailand as a mae chee in 2005, as a samaneri at Santi Forest Monastery in 2008, and as a bhikkhuni at Aranya Bodhi Hermitage in 2010, with Ayya Tathaaloka as her preceptor.

From mid 2015 she spent some years in New Zealand, America and Asia deepening her meditation practice and Dhamma studies, returning to New Zealand early 2021, and helping to establish a small vihara for bhikkhunis there.

She is in the process of moving to a  small hermitage in the Kandy region of Sri Lanka.
