We will be practicing the four aspect of awareness/mindfulness i.e. body, feeling, mind and phenomena (mind object) to calm the mind (samatha) and to gain insight (Vipassana). According to the Satipatthana Discourse, this is the most direct path to awakening.

About the Instructor: Ven. Nyaninda is a graduate in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Sydney University, Australia. He received Higher Ordination as a Bhikkhu (monk) under Sadhammaramsi Sayadaw in 2004. He had received serious contemplative training under Pak Auk Sayadaw in the Myanmar Forest Tradition. He had spent many years practicing in Myanmar, India, Nepal and Germany.  He finds that studying the original words of the Buddha according to the system of Listening, Contemplating, Meditating has greatly enhanced his understanding and practice of the Dhamma. Before becoming a monk, he had practiced under various Buddhist traditions. Currently he is the spiritual advisor of Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia (BMSM) Youth Section and the BMSM Kajang Annual Teenage Camp.
