Location: Yet to be announced

Join us for a rare opportunity to deepen your meditation practice with Ajahn Yiu, a dedicated teacher in the Thai Forest Tradition and a direct disciple of the renowned Luang Por Ganha, one of Thailand’s most respected masters. From 22 to 25 May 2025, this retreat offers a chance to step away from daily distractions and immerse yourself in mindful training following the Buddhist teachings.

Rooted in the teachings of the Ānāpānasati Sutta and other Early Buddhist Texts, Ajahn Yiu’s unique Ease-In Meditation method gently guides practitioners inward, layer by layer, with minimal effort and natural awareness. This approach allows the body and mind to soften, tension to dissolve, and stillness to unfold effortlessly. Complementing this practice, the retreat also incorporates qigong (a method developed by Ajahn Yiu) and mindful engagement in daily activities, creating a balanced approach to deep relaxation and a stable foundation for insight.

A key feature of this retreat is the Dhamma chat with tea, where Ajahn Yiu offers guidance on questions in their practice and in daily life, sharing profound Dhamma insights in a relaxed and informal setting. These sessions provide a valuable opportunity for deeper reflection and clarification of one’s Dhamma and meditation journey.

Whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner, this special event offers a structured yet flexible environment to cultivate the mind and develop concentration and wisdom. The daily schedule integrates formal sitting and standing meditation, mindful movement, Dhamma reflections, and communal practice, creating an immersive space for cultivating inner peace and clarity.

Retreat Highlights:

  • Guided Ease-In Meditation—a gentle and natural approach to stillness
  • Qigong & mindful movement, developed by Ajahn Yiu, to harmonise body and mind
  • Daily Dhamma talks & reflections, sharing wisdom from the Thai Forest Tradition
