Life has its ups and downs, highs and low. In Dhamma terms, these are the ‘Eight Worldly Winds,’ the four complementary pairs of gain and loss, praise and blame, fame and disrepute and pleasure and pain. Most of us spend a lot of our lives either running toward or away from these eight worldly situations . How can we find balance in the face of these worldly winds? Bhante will talk about how the Buddhist practice of mindfulness , wisdom and equanimity can keep us well grounded in a chaotic world.
