How can we be happier and more at peace? The Buddha talked about many ways of achieving this, by understanding why we suffer and then finding a path to peace.
One set of guidelines offered by the Buddha to understand and achieve this is called Dependent Origination (Pali: paticca-samuppada).
We will explore this teaching through discussion and with handouts to see how it can help us understand how to achieve freedom from suffering.
About the teacher: Michael Dash is a practitioner of Buddhist meditation studying in Australia, Thailand and Burma, where he trained in satipatthāna vipassanā meditation in the Mahāsī tradition.
He has worked as a teacher and in the welfare sector as well as local government and has been a bereavement counsellor for over 20 years.
Hybrid event: Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive session in person at the Metta Centre or online by clicking on this link to access the session: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/
